Courtney Boyd - 4K Assistant

Hi! My name is Courtney Boyd. I am excited to join the staff at Independence Elementary School as the 4K Assistant!  I have a passion for helping young children grow and develop a love of learning.

I have over five years of experience working with children, including roles with the Boys & Girls Club and as a substitute teacher. These roles have allowed me to support students across different age groups, deepening my passion for early childhood education. I began building my academic foundation by completing coursework at the University of South Carolina Upstate.  

Outside of school, I am a proud mom to my daughter, Raelyn. I am also a dedicated godmother to my godson, Allessio. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, shopping, and being creative. 

I look forward to supporting Mrs. O’Grady and engaging with our 4K Patriot Leaders this school year!
