Emily Michau

Hello! I am a fifth-grade teacher at Independence Elementary School, proudly holding a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina—Go Gamecocks! I earned my master's degree from Winthrop University. This will be my 9th year of teaching, and my second year in 5th grade!

 

My husband and I live in Rock Hill with our daughter, Sawyer Kate (2) and our dog - Gemma. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and prioritizing fitness. I am also wrapping up my ESOL certification through Winthrop in my spare time as well.

 

I am excited to partner with my students and their parents to ensure a successful learning experience. I know this year will be filled with wonder and learning, and I can't wait to get started!
